Amaury Acosta

Amaury AcostaAmaury Acosta, aka King Klave, is a drummer, percussionist, composer, producer and animator of experimental concepts of art. Born and bred in Hell’s Kitchen, NY as Cuban Parents. He attended LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts and completed his degree at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School in 2006. He graduated from The New School For Jazz & Contemporary music in New York City in 2011. He has performed in Tokyo, Kyoto, Japan, Sydney, Melbourne, Australia, Gongju, South Korea, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, USA. Havana, Cuba, CDMX, Mexico, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Toronto, Canada and countless other cities.

His unique Sound, Skill, and Vision  has led him to collaborate with many luminary musicians and artists, Such as Iggy Pop, Wynton Marsalis, Kimbra, Jose James, Paquito D’Rivera, Candido Camero, Keyon Harrold, Robert Glasper, Pedrito Martinez, Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Descemer Bueno, Arturo O’Farrill, Taylor Eigsti, and many others. He recently composed a Jazz drum solo piece for Gigi Hadid’s Film  entitled When Gigi met Gigi by Vogue and Ralph Lauren. 

Amaury’s production style focuses on blending jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, rock and electronic music with His Afro Cuban Roots. On September 2, 2022, He released his eponymous self-titled debut album, which features with Pino Palladino, Pedrito Martínez, Dj Harrison, J. Hoard, Jake Sherman, Weedie Braimah, Marcus Machado and Javier Santiago as well as the participation of 15 other musicians. 5 Vocalists,  5 Songwriters, 3 Executive Producers, and 5 Recording Engineers and a lot of Tender love and care!
